Omron Fitness
A web experience for Omron's fitness trackers: device setup, a personal activity dashboard and goal tracking, built on Ruby on Rails.

Overview
Omron Fitness pairs Omron's activity trackers with an online home where people set up their device, see their progress and work toward their goals. The web experience had to make health data feel motivating, not clinical.
The challenge
Fitness products live or die by daily engagement. If logging is slow or progress is hard to see, people stop showing up.
What I built
- Device onboarding. Clear guidance for setting up a tracker and getting started.
- Personal dashboard. Recent activity, streaks and achievements at a glance.
- Progress visualization. Charts that make improvement tangible.
- Goal setting. Targets with visual progress indicators.
UX decisions
- Friction-free logging. Minimal taps, smart defaults and favourites.
- Visible progress. Charts designed to celebrate milestones.
- Mobile-first. Built for checking in on the go.
- Streak mechanics. Gentle gamification that rewards consistency.
Under the hood
Ruby on Rails with ActiveRecord, PostgreSQL, Bootstrap's responsive components, and JavaScript for interactive charts.
